At New Talent, we are looking for our Client, an Important Multinational Services Company, a Business Development Manager to join the Argentina office of one of the largest law firms in the world, focused on providing high quality services to its internal clients around the world.

Position’s Purpose: To manage the strategic focus of the In-Market operations and plans of the practices and industries in Buenos Aires, coordinating the BDMC department’s office resources and developing a strategic focused, market-leading BDMC business-partnering capability which enables the practices and partners in Buenos Aires to win, retain and grow business through consistently high standards, engaging thought leadership as well as strong relationship and account management.

Key Requirements:

Academic Credentials: Relevant University degree, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Sales.

Language level: Fluent in spoken and written English and Spanish; Portuguese is a plus

Work experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years in a Marketing and/or Business Development role (Professional Services Firm and/or Shared Service Centre is preferred).
  • Advanced understanding of marketing and communications

Main Responsibilities:

  • Help Partners in Buenos Aires to navigate the new structure, acting as their first point of contact for all BDMC needs; responsible for managing and prioritising BDMC activities of practice groups and industry groups
  • Develop the growth plan for the practice groups in the Buenos Aires office including Key Client opportunities, marketing and communications campaigns required, priority revenue generating service lines/initiatives, and key events and seminars
  • Ensure the In-Market BDMC team are clarifying and capturing BDMC requirements to a high standard such that Expert functions and End-to-End Services will be able to action them
  • Collaborate with Expert functions to challenge requests where commercially prudent, e.g. pitch go/no go decisions
  • Build and maintain close working relationships with colleagues in Expert functions and End-to-End Services to ensure practice groups are benefitting from best practice and latest thinking elsewhere in the Firm
  • Work with Partners and fee earners to ensure that the feedback, matter experience, client contacts and business development leads are captured to enable the practice to promote itself effectively and to grow its business
  • Ensure that content and materials suitable for BDMC purposes (e.g. key experience details, deals, landmark projects) are captured from Partners and fee earners and shared, e.g. deals, credentials, submissions, proposals, CRM related information
